CD Jacket

Would you like a CD template and instructions?

Cd_for_class_1Hi friends! When I taught my Rolodex class in mid August, I included a surprise project at the end - a CD jacket (shown on the right). I was telling the class that because my pictures are very important to me, I try to back them up on a separate hard drive - a small portable one - so if I ever need to leave the house, like in an emergency, I can just grab the hard drive and take all my pictures with me. As another precaution, I also back my photos up on CDs at the end of each season.

Spring_cd__1I figured since I was doing this for me already, I might as well make an extra copy for my mom and give her our favorite pictures and scrapbook pages from the past season. And instead of giving her a plain old paper or plastic CD cover, I decided to create CD jackets so that she can have a fun colorful collection of CDs. This year's Spring CD is on the left and the Summer CD is on the lower right. Because these are part of a set, I kept the style the same and just changed the papers and tags.

Summer_cd_4Well, long story short, I thought this would make a fun extra project for my class. These are really easy to make and you can make these CD jackets for yourself or give CDs as gifts for family and friends. You can also send them along with your family newsletter or with your Christmas cards at the end of the year.

If you'd like instructions and a CD template that you can print out on card stock, just post here, and I'll email both of these to you sometime this week. If you don't receive my email by end of the week, it means I made a mistake in typing in your email address - so go ahead and email me if you don't hear from me in a few days.

Cheers!
